I’ve been trying to play catchup with the news (was trying to look more into pandemic related stuff for obvious reasons) and have started delving into the state of the world. Afghanistan, of course, is the big one. So many little things were popping up I wasn’t sure what to think or what was going on, but I didn’t get far into playing catchup and figured Beau could help me out.
And damn, he sure gave me a start.
The actions regarding the photograph and it’s historical significance leave me deeply unsettled in one respect, but the current use of it by the media just made me feel like it was inevitable. I had to watch this twice and now I’m gonna be looking for more info (in between trying to fix some stuff in my garage). It makes me feel so much disappointment that some folks are trying to burn the house down while telling everyone how much they’re actually saving it.
(that “Hanoi Jane” reference made my jaw drop, because that’s when it hit me hardest).
Worth a watch, because Beau is the man. Gonna binge a few months worth of what I’ve missed and do more research on my own over the week.
